Former Nottingham Forest star Joe Lolley is loving life in Australia and on Saturday he made a brilliant Reds prediction.
The former winger was allowed to leave the City Ground in the summer and headed down under to Sydney FC.
He’s been given a new lease of life at his new club after a somewhat frustrating season during 2022/23.
Lolley didn’t start much at all during last season and was forced to grasp his opportunities from the bench.
The 30-year-old enjoyed the club’s celebrations at Wembley but it soon became clear that he would be deemed surplus to requirements.
A move to Australia looks like a good one. He’s scored four goals and claimed one assist from 11 appearances in the Sydney team.
After scoring in a 2-2 draw against Perth Glory on Saturday, he was asked by someone in the crowd for a prediction ahead of Forest v Leicester.
Lolley didn’t take long to make his decision and in true Mystic Meg fashion, predicted a 2-0 win for the Reds.
Forest duly obliged as well. A couple of goals from Brennan Johnson saw the Reds recapture the bragging rights after losing to Leicester in October.

It seems clear that Lolley still has a lot of time for Forest. It would be easy for him to hold a grudge given that he never got a Premier League chance.
The versatile forward was a loyal servant for the Reds. He made 171 appearances for the club, scoring 26 goals and registering 27 assists.
Lolley played for the club during some bad times. He always delivered maximum effort though and he cared deeply about the club.
It’s quite amusing that Lolley predicted the right score on Saturday and supporters have been quick to share it on social media.
Forest have moved on and it’s great to see that Lolley is moving on with his career and doing well at Sydney too.
