Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Hull City striker Oscar Estupinan, according to AS Colombia. The Reds aren’t alone in their desire to sign the EFL star, with Southampton, Everton and Bournemouth all keen.
Steve Cooper is keen to add some more firepower to his ranks. Against Leicester City on Saturday, the head coach went without a recognised striker, with Taiwo Awoniyi nursing an injury.
Furthermore, it would appear that Cooper doesn’t fancy some of the other players to play up front. Sam Surridge came on at the weekend but missed a good chance, whilst Emmanuel Dennis seems to be out of the picture.

Both of those players have been linked with a move away from Trentside. Whether moves for the duo are sanctioned, however, is likely to depend on whether Forest can get someone in.
Estupinan is enjoying a wonderful season in East Yorkshire. He signed for the Tigers from Vitoria Guimaraes in the summer and has found the net 12 times during his 24 appearances this season.
During his time with the Portuguese top-flight outfit, he spent time with an ex-Forest player. Tiago Silva played 28 matches alongside Estupinan, with the pair linking up to score four goals between them.
Forest interested in Estpuinan
Leroy Rosenior is now at Hull City. He began the season in charge of Derby and he’s a big fan of Estupinan, calling him ‘brilliant’ when he first took over at the Championship outfit.
The Reds would surely welcome another striker into their ranks. That said, signing Estupinan won’t be easy, given that he’s only been at the club for a matter of months.

Estupinan is only 26-years-old. As a result, he would be a useful signing for any Premier League outfit given that he should really be at the peak of his powers in the next couple of years.
Hull are languishing in 16th place in the Championship. As a result, it does seem unlikely that they will be going up to the Premier League during the 2022/23 campaign.
Rumour rating: 7/10 – Estupinan looks at a nice age and the fact he’s scored 12 goals this season suggests he’s in confident spirits. What brings the rating down is that he’s not played in the top flight but we still think he could prove a useful addition.
