Danilo has signed for Nottingham Forest and he’s been explaining to the club’s official website what Gustavo Scarpa has told him. The Reds have moved quickly to add the Brazilian to their ranks, with the 21-year-old joining Scarpa and Renan Lodi from his homeland.
Forest are developing something of a Brazilian feel to their squad. If the trio can help the Reds retain their Premier League status this season, there could well be plenty of samba dancing on the streets of West Bridgford!
Danilo has swapped Palmeiras for Forest. The youngster was instrumental last season as they claimed the Brazilian title, with the central midfielder playing 58 times in all competitions.

He scored seven goals and claimed four assists last season. Danilo typically operates in the defensive midfield role and as a left-footed option, he should bring some balance to the Forest engine room.
After checking in, he spoke with the club’s official media team and claimed that he’d asked Scarpa for an appraisal of the club before choosing to sign.
Danilo said: “I spoke to Gustavo Scarpa as well, and he told me that Nottingham is a great city and Forest have a quality squad with really good staff. I’m really happy to be fulfilling my dream of playing in the Premier League.”
Danilo has signed for Forest and it could help Scarpa
The 29-year-old checked in earlier this month from Palmeiras. He’s now made four appearances in the team and it wouldn’t appear that he’s short on confidence.
Still, it can only bode well that he now has a former teammate to help him further settle at the City Ground. Danilo and the winger will know each other well and could be a match made in heaven.

It’s been a whirlwind twelve months for the Reds. One year ago, they were ninth in the Championship, signing Steve Cook, Keinan Davis and Sam Surridge to give them a push towards promotion.
Nothing against those players but Forest are now 13th in the Premier League and busy signing Brazilian wonderkids; with Steve Cooper’s stock continuing to rise.
Danilo looks a very exciting addition to the Forest ranks and it will be intriguing to see how he gets on.
