Raddy Majewski has reacted after Danilo checked in and was handed his first-ever Nottingham Forest squad number. The midfielder has been added to the Forest ranks from Brazilian champions Palmeiras and becomes the Reds’ first January signing.

Danilo has played over 100 times at senior level, despite being only 21-years-old. He will link up with Steve Cooper’s squad ahead of Saturday’s crunch Premier League clash against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The youngster models his game on N’Golo Kante. He spoke ahead of last season’s Club World Cup Final that the Chelsea star was one of his main inspirations in the game; speaking of the Frenchman’s brilliance on the football pitch.

Still, the man who has previously been called up to the Brazil squad but didn’t play looks like a wonderful signing. He typically operates in the defence-minded midfield position and he will provide Cooper with another option.

Forest’s need for a new midfielder has been intensified since the World Cup. Cheikhou Kouyate returned from the tournament injured and he will be missing until March at the earliest.

Danilo signed for Forest and Majewski reacted on Instagram

Known for being a scorer of great goals rather than a great goalscorer, Majewski was a bit of a cult hero on Trentside. After the Danilo deal was announced last night, it soon became clear that he would be taking the number 28 jersey.

Majewski wore that number during some of his time at the City Ground. Other players to have been given the number 28 include Loic Bade – yes he existed, James Perch and Thomas Lam! Russell Hoult also wore the number between the posts during his loan spell.

After seeing the signing unveiled Majewski took to Instagram to provide a short message to Danilo, that read: “Good number.”

His post also included the wink and a strong emoji, with the ex-Polish performer clearly keen to see how Danilo can play for the Reds.

Danilo will hope to get his feet under the table at the City Ground quickly. Clearly, this looks like an exciting addition to the ranks and now supporters will look forward to seeing him in action.
