Keylor Navas is keen to sign for Nottingham Forest before tonight’s deadline, according to Fabrizio Romano. Earlier today it had been claimed that the Reds were set to miss out on the PSG star.
The consensus this morning was that the clubs were apart in the amount of Navas’ salary that Forest would contribute. Now, however, it would appear that a deal is set to be completed.

Forest have been looking for a new goalkeeper for a couple of weeks. The Reds were unfortunate to see Dean Henderson pick up a thigh injury against Leicester and he will be out for a month.
Now, Navas looks set to come into the squad and he will be more than capable of deputising. The Costa Rica international has won the Champions League three times, enjoying a very colourful career.
His game time at PSG has been limited largely due to him being behind the best goalkeeper in the world. Gianluigi Donnarumma has been in sensational form and that’s seen Navas play second fiddle.
Signing him hasn’t been easy though. That has largely been down to the player earning a whopping £200,000-a-week at PSG and there have been some complications in the negotiations.
Romano makes claim that Navas wants to sign for Forest
From a supporter’s perspective, the Reds will be hoping that this is true and things are progressing with this one. Navas is a world-class stopper and he is more than capable of deputising for Henderson.

Navas is an experienced performer who has spent many years playing at the top level. He’s also played 110 times for his country during his career and his leadership qualities could be very useful.
Wayne Hennessey has deputised for Henderson in recent weeks. Clearly, the Reds fancy another goalkeeper, however, and view the Wales international as nothing other than a backup option.
