Nottingham Forest have been handed a boost in the quest to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah. According to Kicker, the player has signed with super-agent Pini Zahavi and has instructed him to hook him up with a Premier League move.
Tah was a target for Forest during the January transfer window. He opted to stay with Leverkusen for now, however, with Xabi Alonso pleading with the centre-back to stay. In the summer, however, things could be different and Tah wants to move to England.

The Reds signed Felipe to bolster their defensive options last month. As a 33-year-old, however, that does look like a short-term option to act as a stop-gap until Forest can possibly strengthen even further once the 2022/23 season has finished.
Tah has been a cracking servant to the Leverkusen ranks. He signed for the club in 2015 and has made 283 appearances for the Bundesliga club. His time at the club could be coming to a close though, with England – and possibly Forest – firmly in his sights.
The Reds could feasibly need another defender in the summer. Joe Worrall has hardly played, whilst Willy Boly will be another year older. That could leave Moussa Niakhate and Scott McKenna as feasible options, with Steve Cook also likely to depart.
Forest handed Tah boost
This would be amazing if Forest can get in the ear of Zahavi and tempt him to persuade his new recruit to join the Reds. Tah is powerful, uncompromising and is also capable of playing out from the back.

If Forest do confirm their Premier League status for another season, they will want to kick on. It seems unlikely that a plethora of players will arrive again and five or six quality additions will likely be added instead.
If one of those is Tah it would be a seriously good piece of business. At 26-years-old he has bags of time on his side and Forest could land the player ahead of his prime years.
