Felipe enjoyed a remarkable Nottingham Forest debut yesterday as the Reds drew 1-1 with Manchester City. After the game, the defender earned praise on Instagram from Danilo and Renan Lodi.
The 33-year-old was absolutely outstanding against City. It could have proved a daunting experience for the ex-Atletico Madrid man but he took it all in his stride on a memorable City Ground day.

Chris Wood pounced with four minutes remaining to score the equalising goal. Bernardo Silva had opened the scoring on the brink of half-time, rasping an unstoppable effort beyond Keylor Navas.
Felipe was simply outrageous during the 90 minutes. He showcased his years of experience playing top-level football and managed to keep Erling Haaland at bay throughout the contest.
It’s remarkable that Felipe is 33. The player made 10 clearances yesterday and looks like a player in his prime as opposed to one who is fast approaching the end of his career.
The player was a January signing for the club. He cot just £1.8 million and comes with bags of experience playing for Porto and Atletico Madrid during his career.
Now, his future lies with Forest. In the short-term, Steve Cooper will hope that he can be a massive player for the club as they bid to stay in the Premier League for next season.
Felipe earned praise from Lodi and Danilo
His compatriots clearly valued his presence yesterday. Danilo and Lodi both started alongside Felipe in the starting eleven and all three did their part during a massive afternoon.

The centre-back absolutely wowed Lodi. The pair played together at Wanda Metropolitano and he said on Instagram after the game: “Holy moly kid.”
Danilo is enjoying his time at Forest and he’s busy getting used to life in England. Yesterday he was forced out of his natural position but on Felipe’s performance, he said: “Monstroooo.”
Felipe has made a huge name for himself already during his full Forest debut. The Reds will now hope there is more to come from him.
