Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper has confirmed another devastating injury blow this time involving Serge Aurier.
The Reds defender was substituted against Manchester City last weekend and had his leg heavily strapped with ice.
It had been claimed earlier this week that he was suffering from muscle fatigue. Now, the head coach has suggested that it might be more serious than initially feared.

Aurier has been a revelation since signing for the Reds. He’s made 19 appearances and scored his only goal for the club in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
Forest will now have to do without the 30-year-old for a little while. Cooper has confirmed that the player will be out for three to four weeks.
Aurier has suffered a calf strain. It did seem ambitious to expect that he wouldn’t be out for long, especially considering how much ice he had strapped to his leg.
Forest do have options at right-back. Neco Williams can come into the fray but he will need to showcase that he’s in the same league as Aurier.
Aurier has bags of experience as a player. He spent time with PSG, Tottenham and Villarreal, helping the La Liga outfit to the Champions League semi-final last season.
Cooper has confirmed devasting Aurier injury blow
It never rains it pours at the City Ground. Aurier’s injury blow might be the most devastating of the lot given his importance to the team.
Williams is a capable performer but he isn’t Aurier. The Ivorian is much better in the right-back role and the Welsh player must now step up.

The hope will be that Aurier can recover quicker than expected. In hindsight, it’s ideal that it’s no worse and he will at least be back for the run-in.
The player has been in great form for the Reds of late. As a result, he will be a huge miss and Cooper must hope this doesn’t derail his team’s season.
