Nottingham Forest defender Serge Aurier is keen to sign a new deal with the Reds. The player previously with Tottenham and Villarreal is keen to extend his City Ground stay, according to The Sun.
Aurier was added to the Forest ranks on a free transfer in the summer. He was a surprise addition after the summer window closed but he’s provided himself as a quality signing.
The 30-year-old is currently nursing a calf problem. He missed the game against West Ham on Saturday completely and his absence was sorely felt as the Reds lost 4-0.

Aurier has been a wonderful addition to the ranks though. He’s made 19 appearances in all competitions and his experience in a relatively young dressing room has been massive.
Now, the Ivory Coast international is keen to extend his stay with Forest. The report claims that talks are underway and it would appear that Steve Cooper is extremely happy with him.
In quotes relaid by The Sun, he claimed: “We’re very happy with Serge and enjoy working with him. Serge seems happy as well, I speak to the players a lot and it’s all been positive conversations.”
Aurier will be out of contract in the summer and the hope will be that an extension can be agreed between the two parties.
Forest man Aurier keen to sign a new deal and the Reds should get it done
Keeping Aurier would be massive. Although the Reds don’t really know what division they’ll be playing in next season just yet, the right-back would be a quality player to keep regardless.
Aurier has made 82 appearances for the Ivory Coast national team. He’s vastly experienced and his performances have simply oozed class this season.

If Cooper wants to keep him then the club simply have to act. Aurier has experience playing in the Champions League and he’s arguably been Forest’s unsung hero this season.
A new deal would be exactly what he deserves and as a result, Forest would be wise to get this one over the line quicky.
