Jermaine Jenas has hailed Nottingham Forest for their January signing of Keylor Navas. In an interview with Metro, he claimed that adding him was vital after the injury picked up by Dean Henderson.
Forest scoured far and wide for a goalkeeper in January. Henderson was injured against Leicester early in the month and it left the Reds in a bit of a pickle.
Wayne Hennessey was signed very much as a backup option. He did play in the game against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium but it was always clear another stopper would be targeted.

Forest thought they’d missed out on Navas. It was anticipated that the stopper might remain with PSG but at the eleventh hour, the Costa Rican goalkeeper pushed for the move.
Jenas is a City Ground favourite. He came through the ranks on Trentside and also returned for a spell on loan when Sean O’Driscoll was in charge.
The Match of the Day pundit believes signing the 110-cap star was a huge deal. He has also suggested that he will be a big player for the club in their fight for survival.
Jenas told Metro: “The January signing of Keylor Navas was massive because the injury to Dean Henderson was a big blow. You know with Navas when a big save needs to be made, he’s going to be there most of the time. Days like the 4-0 defeat at West Ham are going to happen.”
Jenas has hailed Navas signing and Forest have got themselves a real coup
It’s no secret that Navas is arguably one of the most successful players to have ever played for the club. He has won Man of the Match in both the home games he’s played so far and even at 36-years-old, he’s going to be huge for Forest.

Navas has won three Champions League titles during his career. His time at Real Madrid saw him become the number-one goalkeeper and he also won league titles during his time at the Bernabeu.
Jenas is right to call this a massive deal. Navas will be integral to the fortunes of Forest over the next few months. As a result, they need him to be at his very best.
