Xavi is a huge fan of the youngster though. He called the player ‘extraordinary’ and ‘spectacular’ back in 2021, shortly after Ronald Koeman had left the Nou Camp.

Ezzalzouli wasn’t a first choice at the World Cup. He did take part in three of his country’s fixtures, however, and he will be a big player for them in the future.

His form at Osasuna has been pretty good of late. He scored the winner against Sevilla in La Liga and also scored against them in the Copa Del Rey.

Ezzalzouli is only 21-years-old and looks like being a star of the future. It’s claimed that Barcelona are quite up for the idea of making money on their prized asset.

It goes without saying that Forest must stay up first. If they do the transfer window will be centred around quality over quantity after 30 signings since winning promotion.

The Reds must ensure they kick on if they do stay in the division. Signing a player with the quality of Ezzalzouli would certainly be a step in the right direction.

It won’t be an easy deal to complete, however. Barcelona boss Xavi rates him highly, whilst Osasuna would dearly love to have him back for another season.

Forest look nicely poised though. The Reds will definitely go in search of more signings if they stay up and Ezzalzouli looks like he’d be a quality addition.
