Nottingham Forest and Tottenham are both monitoring exciting striker Adama Bojang, according to the Daily Mail. The 18-year-old is currently playing for Gambia in the AFCON U20 Championship and on Friday he scored a hat-trick.

Bojang plays his club football for Steve Biko FC. Now, however, he has several top clubs in Europe looking into the possibility of signing him, with Forest and Tottenham providing Premier League interest.

Other clubs across the continent are also keeping the player at close quarters. It’s claimed in the report that Nice are keen, whilst Ajax have also sent scouts to take a look at Bojang this season.

It sounds like the teenager is an exciting prospect. He scored a superb hat trick on Friday against South Sudan and is also being tipped to claim the Player of the Tournament accolade.

Furthermore, the player is nicknamed ‘the Gambian Hurricane’. At 6ft 3in, he’s an uncompromising striker and is deemed quick, brave and direct by his club side Steve Biko FC.

If Forest remain in the Premier League this season they will try and strengthen. It does seem as though quality will be prioritised over quantity though and Bojang would be ideal for the development squad to begin with.

The teenager looks like a useful addition. He scored a scintillating hat trick during Friday’s game and if any scouts were present at that one, they’d have been mightily impressed.

Bojang is the type of striker that could excite the Forest fan base. He’s determined, hardworking and he’s also got the sort of style that could make him a hit in English football.

Bojang would likely jump at the chance to play in the Premier League. Many African players have performed well in England previously and he’d love the chance to emulate his heroes.

Forest will almost certainly look at strikers in the summer. Taiwo Awoniyi has produced the goods since signing in the summer. Emmanuel Dennis and Sam Surridge, however, have struggled to make their mark.
