Nottingham Forest were linked with Caio Henrique in the summer and now Sport claim that Barcelona want him. The Monaco left-back has been in fine form during 2022/23 and the Catalan giants are ready to make a move when the window reopens.
The Brazilian has been a regular in the team at Monaco this season. He’s played 23 times in the league campaign and has also made eight appearances in the Europa League for the Ligue 1 giants.

Henrique signed for Monaco from Atletico Madrid in 2020. He has also spent time playing in his native Brazil for Gremio, Fluminense and Santos, playing for his country at youth level.
Forest were in the market for a left-back during the summer. Last season they utilised Jack Colback in a makeshift role and naturally other options were always going to be sought ahead of the club’s Premier League campaign.
Henrique didn’t prove a viable option for the Reds. Instead, the club opted to make Renan Lodi their number-one priority for the left-back spot, with Omar Richards and Harry Toffolo also signing.
Now, Henrique remains a wanted man. Barcelona have been alerted to the player, although he does have a contract with the French outfit until 2027.
Forest linked Henrique now wanted by Barcelona
At 25-years-old, Henrique is some way off his prime. As a result, it’s no surprise to see Barcelona pursue him ahead of his best years.
Forest could find themselves in the market for another left-back in the summer. There is a deal in place for Lodi to sign permanently though and that will be activated if the Reds stay up.

Henrique could now be set for a huge move. He is firmly on the radar of Barcelona and he’d surely jump at the chance to sign for such a huge club.
His form this season has been magnificent. He would clearly have been a big signing for the club. Now, however, it looks as though the ship has sailed on that deal.
