Angelo Gabriel almost signed for Nottingham Forest during the January transfer window and a transfer could take place in the summer. According to Brazilian journalist Lucas Musetti, Forest were the club closest to signing the wonderkid during the last transfer window.
Angelo is a burgeoning talent in South America. Despite his tender years, he’s made over 100 appearances for Santos and has already been compared to Pele and Neymar during the early stages of his career.

Forest offered Santos £17 million during the January transfer window. They wanted the initial deal to be on loan, however, with the move made permanent if the Reds avoided relegation this season.
Now, Flamengo are monitoring his situation too. They’re only offering £10 million though, although they would allow Santos to receive 50% of any future transfer fee they receive.
Santos have rejected the proposal from their divisional rivals. It’s believed that Angelo is happy to stay with the club for now and then he will seek a move to Europe in the summer.
Forest are likely to remain in the mix should they retain their Premier League status. It’s also been claimed in recent weeks that AC Milan and Barcelona are also keen.
Angelo almost signed for Forest and he could move in the summer
Some reports on deadline day claimed that the Reds were giving a medical to Angelo. It now seems as though those claims were premature and the versatile player stayed put.

The player would clearly be a huge signing. He’s deemed as one of the brightest young talents in world football and the Reds could sign him ahead of his best years.
Forest will have to stay in the Premier League first. If they do that, then it would appear as though they will definitely get another chance to land Angelo in the transfer window.
