Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Prince Adegoke, according to All Nigeria Soccer. The Reds aren’t alone in this race, with Stoke and Leicester also keen on the stopper.

The Reds could find themselves in the market for a goalkeeper in the summer. Keylor Navas and Dean Henderson are both only on loan at the City Ground and relegation could leave Forest stumped.

Adegoke would represent a solid addition with the future in mind. His contract expires at the end of the season and right now interest is rife among several English clubs.

The 19-year-old trained with Stoke in October. It didn’t go well, however, and the Potters cut short the arrangement after Adegoke picked up a cruel injury.

The player was also set to arrive at the City Ground for a short trail period. His injury left his physical condition found wanting, however, and Forest opted not to take a look at him.

Leicester are set to make the first move. They will invite Adegoke to their training ground for a trial next week and are keen to try and sign him ahead of next season.

This would be a decent addition if Forest can get it over the line. It does appear, however, that any deal would see Adegoke initially join up with the under-21 ranks ahead of the future.

The youngster is a talented goalkeeper and plenty of clubs are keen. It would appear that Forest will be keeping close tabs on next when he undergoes his trial period at Leicester.

Forest’s situation with goalkeepers could quickly become perilous. Only Ethan Horvath is contracted to the club next season and the Reds will definitely need to sign a couple of custodians.

Adegoke looks like a talented player. Forest are always keen to tie done the most talented players ahead of the future and the Nigerian stopper could prove a very useful signing.
