Nottingham Forest youngster Billy Fewster has surprisingly been spotted in training with the first team. The 19-year-old has been on loan with Scunthorpe United but hadn’t been seen for several weeks at Glanford Park.
Fewster is tipped for big things at the City Ground. He’s rated highly by the staff behind the scenes and he was fancied to go well in the National League with Scunthorpe.
The midfielder made just two appearances for the Iron but now he’s back on Trentside. Yesterday he was spotted alongside several other youngsters training with the senior squad.

Forest are quickly approaching a crossroads with Fewster. He will be out of contract in the summer and the club must now decide what to do with him.
It’s all been a bit cloak and dagger with Fewster at Scunthorpe. They’re a bit of a basket case right now and they’re staring down the barrel of relegation to National League North.
Prior to joining the non-league outfit, Fewster had been shining for the under-21s at Forest. He had also made his senior debut during a 4-1 defeat to Blackpool in the FA Cup.
Fewster is a very tidy player with an eye for a pass. Forest picked him up from Leeds and at the City Ground, he’s grown as a player.
Fewster spotted in training with Forest first team
It’s somewhat strange there has been no announcement regarding this. Fewster has been out of the Scunthorpe team for weeks and now he’s back with Forest.
He was spotted being put through his paces as the Reds prepare to face Newcastle. One photo shows him shaking hands with Jonjo Shelvey who was signed in January.

Scunthorpe are a full-time football club. As a result, it’s not as if Fewster was training with Forest on one of his off days with the Iron and the loan must have ended.
Fewster will now hope to impress Cooper and it will be interesting to see if he plays for the under-21s for the remainder of the campaign.
