Nottingham Forest are eyeing a move for Chavas defender Bruno Langa, according to O Jogo. The Reds aren’t the only club in the mix to sign him, with Leeds United also monitoring the player.
Langa has been with his current club since 2021 when he joined from Amora FC on a free transfer. He has made 52 appearances for the club, becoming a mainstay in their team.
The left-sided defender came through the youth system at Vitoria Setubal. He failed to make the grade at the first-team level, appearing on the bench but never making it onto the pitch.

Langa is clearly being identified by the Reds as an alternative to Benfica star Alejandro Grimaldo. He has been linked with Forest but has bigger clubs courting him who are playing in Europe.
Furthermore, Grimaldo could cost a fortune. He might still sign a new contract with Benfica and that will almost certainly rule the Reds out.
Forest are likely to be preparing a contingency plan. Renan Lodi is the current left-back and if the Reds stay up they must decide whether or not to keep hold of him on a permanent deal.
Langa is a player who has come into his own during the last couple of years. He is also a Mozambique international who has collected 11 caps for his country.
Forest eyeing move for Langa
The 25-year-old has time on his side and he would be signing at a time when he should improve. He will certainly make the leap into a top European league at some point and the summer looks like his time.
Forest will likely go in search of a left-back. There are no guarantees over Lodi signing permanently and Harry Toffolo appears to have been signed in case the Reds get relegated.

Langa is something of an unknown quantity. Still, his form in Portugal hasn’t gone unnoticed and it’s claimed that Benfica could move for him if they lose Grimaldo.
Forest will get linked with several players in the coming months. Langa is clearly on the radar and it remains to be seen whether the club firms up their interest in the international player.
