Nottingham Forest starlet Dale Taylor scored twice yesterday as Burton Albion defeated Port Vale 3-2 in League One. The win breathes huge life into the Brewers’ battle against relegation.

Taylor is tipped for big things at the City Ground. He’s been in and around the first-team squad in recent months but the club chose to loan him out to the EFL outfit in January.

The 19-year-old is growing as a player and is relishing first-team football. Yesterday, he scored two wonderful goals as Dino Maamria’s team claimed an important win.

Taylor equalised in the eighth minute after Ellis Harrison had opened the scoring. He then went and scored his team’s third goal in the 67th minute, with Burton in rampant spirits.

The Northern Irishman will now head off on international duty. He’s already made his Northern Ireland debut and he will hope to win more caps over the next fortnight.

Taylor is a fine talent. He was part of the successful under-18 team last year, featuring for the club on their fine run to the FA Youth Cup Final before the Reds lost to Manchester United.

The youngster is a real breath of fresh air. He is built to play men’s football and he’s thriving in a team that is trying to play the game the right way.

Taylor is a decent forward and he’s showcasing that he can play in a number of positions. He has so far played as a wide performer and as a centre forward during his career.

The youngster has bags of time to continue improving. Yesterday, he was bang in form and the Reds look to have a fine player on their hands.

The game against Port Vale was the first time that Taylor has scored twice in a game at professional level and there are definitely more goals to come for the player.
