Nottingham Forest were linked with a move for Michail Antonio in January and Everton want him in the summer. The Sun claims that Sean Dyche will make a move to sign the 32-year-old if they stay in the Premier League.

Antonio spent some time at Forest earlier in his career. He was a revelation for the Reds, scoring 19 goals and claiming 15 assists for the club after costing just £2 million from Sheffield Wednesday.

Everton have been goal shy this season and they’re considering a swoop for some strikers in the summer. The Toffees will want to make sure they’re not in a relegation battle next season if they can stay up.

Antonio has some serious pace and at West Ham, he’s grown as a player. The man who spent time at Forest prior to his £7 million move to the London Stadium is now the club’s all-time goalscorer in the Premier League.

At 32, he is coming towards the end of his career. He might feel that his next move will be his last and moving to Goodison Park might be viewed as a decent decision for his career.

Forest look unlikely to go back in the hunt for Antonio. They targeted him in January at a time when Taiwo Awoniyi was injured but he should be back very soon.

The Reds will likely target younger players in the summer. They too will need to avoid relegation first before they can start to plan anything for the 2023/24 campaign.

David Moyes has been a good manager for Antonio’s career. Earlier this season, he called the forward ‘incredible’ after he helped West Ham secure a 4-1 win over Leicester.

Forest will go in search of some new players themselves during the summer. As of yet, however, they don’t know what division they will be in and Antonio is unlikely to remain a target.

He would be a very ambitious signing by Everton though. Antonio is settled in London and earning £69,000-a-week, it’s likely to need a very lucrative offer to convince him to head north.
