Nottingham Forest are keen on signing Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao, according to Mondo Udinese. The Reds are rivalling Everton for the player’s signature and he could leave in the summer.
Becao has been on Forest’s radar for some time. The Reds tried to get him in January but the Serie A outfit weren’t keen on entertaining the concept of selling the Brazilian.

The man who signed for the club from Esporte Bahia has made 21 appearances this season, scoring twice. He’s showcased his tough-tackling nature too, picking up nine yellow cards along the way.
Becao has never made an appearance for his country. He will hope that can change before his career is over and at 27-years-old he will be approaching his prime right now.
Forest won’t be stepping up any recruitment drives at the moment. As of yet, they don’t know what division they will be in next season and the full focus is on remaining in the Premier League right now.
Becao looks almost certain to leave Udinese during the summer transfer window. He will have just a year remaining on his existing deal and the Italians could cash in.
Becao fits the profile of a no-nonsense central defender. With that in mind, it’s quite easy to see why he is someone that Forest would want, with some of the defending this year comical at best.
Forest keen on Becao
This would be an interesting one for certain. Several clubs are keen on landing him and typically that would represent a good sign.
Forest would perhaps welcome a central defender with some Premier League experience in the summer if they should stay up.

That is something that they are lacking a little bit and they could target more than one central defender ahead of next season.
Becao is an aggressive performer and a player that always gives his all when he steps out onto the pitch.
Staying up is the primary objective but after that perhaps it wouldn’t be a bad thing for Forest to target Becao.
