Nottingham Forest defender Serge Aurier has appeared on a French TV show and he’s done something that Reds fans will love. The man who signed on a free transfer in the summer was on a Canal Plus football show yesterday ahead of international duty.
Aurier has been a fantastic player for the Reds. His experience has been crucial and he’s going to be a very important player for Forest as they bid to remain in the Premier League.

Keeping the man who spent many years at Tottenham will likely depend on the outcome of their survival push. Forest will almost certainly try and keep him should they win their battle to avoid finishing in the bottom three.
Aurier is a man with vast experience playing for some top clubs. He reached the Champions League Final with Tottenham and also reached the semi-final with Villarreal last season.
The 30-year-old will turn his attention towards doing well for the Ivory Coast now. They face a huge double-header against Comoros in their African Nations Cup qualification campaign.
Aurier has been a loyal servant to his country. He’s made 82 appearances for his country, scoring four goals and he will hope to add to his number of caps this week.
Aurier has done something that fans will love
It’s quite something to see a player from overseas buy into what Forest is all about. The player has done something on Canal Plus that will naturally delight the Reds’ fan base.
He was spotted on the TV show wearing two retro Forest jerseys. The first was a green one from the nineties that was used fleetingly as a third kit.

The second one he was spotted wearing was when he was actually introduced onto the show. It was a white number that the club used as an away shirt, also in the nineties.
Forest fans have seen far too many players come from overseas in recent years and not give much care to the club. Aurier can’t be considered as one of those. His antics on and off the pitch should help him warm ever closer to the Forest fan base.
