BBC pundit Chris Sutton has delivered his prediction for tonight’s game between Leeds and Nottingham Forest at Elland Road.

The man who spent several years playing in the Premier League is born in Nottingham and has given his prediction to the BBC Sport website.

The Whites will go ahead of the Reds with a home victory, whilst a win for Steve Cooper’s men could see them go 13th in the Premier League.

Forest haven’t won in seven matches. Their last victory came in early February when they defeated tonight’s opponents at the City Ground.

Things are starting to look perilous for the Reds. Their away form has been nothing short of horrific and reports are now linking Cooper with the sack.

Sutton doesn’t think things will get any rosier for them tonight. He’s made his prediction and unsurprisingly he fancies a home win.

He told BBC Sport: “This is a huge game for both clubs, but particularly Nottingham Forest – they have not won since they beat Leeds at the City Ground on 5 February, seven games ago.

“I’ve mentioned my relegation ‘worryometer’ before and Forest still worry me, a lot.

“I can’t put my finger on why their away form is so bad, but it really is terrible. They have the worst record in the top flight, with one win and six points in total from 13 games on the road.

It’s a blow for Leeds to be without Willy Gnonto and Tyler Adams, who are both injured, but the home crowd will be really up for this and I fear for Forest at Elland Road.”

It’s not really a surprise to see that the pundit has predicted a 2-0 win for the home side tonight. He’s right when he says Forest are struggling away and things have to change.

Cooper knows that he must get something sorted on the road. Forest haven’t been good enough all season away and it’s crippling any momentum they might try to get.

With speculation surrounding Cooper now rife, tonight is the night when the players have to turn up.

Forest played really well against Wolves at the weekend. Now, the real challenge is producing that level of performance on the road and claiming a huge three points.
