Some worrying news has emerged this morning regarding Nottingham Forest Director of Football Development, Gary Brazil.
The Athletic has made a seriously concerning claim that Brazil is waiting by the phone for a call over his future.
The 60-year-old has been a custodian of the club’s academy for many years; overseeing the development of several quality young players.

Brazil has helped Forest nurture the likes of Matty Cash, Oliver Burke, Ben Brereton Diaz and Ben Osborn in recent memory.
In the last couple of years, Brazil has overseen runs to the FA Youth Cup Final and the Premier League 2 play-offs.
Now, a worrying update comes from The Athletic, who claim that Brazil hasn’t yet been offered a new contract.
This won’t go down well with the club’s supporters. With Steve Cooper also under pressure; it could be a case of will the last one out turn off the lights?
Brazil has been the heartbeat of the football club at the academy level for many years.
The man who played for Fulham and Notts County as a player joined the Reds in 2012. Initially, he arrived as a youth team coach.
He’s risen through the ranks and is now a master of his trade. As a result, it’s extremely concerning that a contract offer hasn’t been forthcoming.
Worrying news emerges about Forest man Gary Brazil
The club cannot let the man who has helped raise millions in transfer fees for the football club depart the City Ground.
Brazil should be allowed to leave this football club on his terms and now at the end of his contract as so many do in modern-day football.

Quite simply, Forest couldn’t go out there and get any better.
The Reds have to think very carefully about the direction they want to go in at academy level.
The category one status is in jeopardy and Forest need to give Brazil a new contract so that he can continue to spearhead the future.
