Nottingham Forest defender Renan Lodi is wanted by Juventus in the summer, with his future currently uncertain at the City Ground.

The Reds signed the left-back Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan back in August. It’s thought that the Reds have agreed on a deal to sign him for £25 million too.

However, with Forest in freefall, nothing has been agreed in concrete just yet. Clearly, if Forest are relegated, their chances of signing him will dwindle into thin air.

Now, Juventus are keen to sign him. It’s been claimed in various reports that the player the Old Lady are now keen to nab the Brazilian ahead of next season.

Lodi has been a regular in the team this season for the Reds. Recently he’s welcome a child into the world, however, and hasn’t started the last two games.

A number of reports last month claimed that Forest were unsure about a permanent deal for Lodi. It was suggested that the Reds might try and renegotiate a cheaper price for Lodi instead.

Lodi has made 24 appearances for the Reds this season. He’s shown that he’s capable of producing the goods in the Premier League but now he could move to Serie A.

Ultimately, Forest are facing a real fight to keep hold of their first-choice left-back. Obviously, if relegation happens it’s a bridge they won’t have to cross anyway as his loan will just end.

However, if they do survive this season they could struggle to sign him anyway.

Forest will be able to attract some new players in the summer, regardless of the division they’re in. However, they’re unlikely to be competing with Juve any time soon.

Lodi has claimed that he’s enjoying himself at Forest.

He will have a desire to play at the highest level, however, and he’s unlikely to turn his nose up at a move to Juventus.
