Gary Neville has cleared up some comments that he made about Nottingham Forest at the weekend. The man who played for Manchester United for many years has been discussing the Reds on Twitter after taking some flak.
The Sky Sports pundit was at the City Ground on Sunday as Forest lost to the Red Devils. Goals from Antony and Diogo Dalot compounded the Reds to a tenth winless game in succession.

Forest were largely outplayed at the City Ground. The Reds didn’t really look like scoring and when half-chances did come their way they were extremely wasteful in front of the goal.
After the game, Neville was critical of Forest. It was the club’s recruitment policy that came under scrutiny, with the man who played for United calling it scattergun and reckless.
One Forest fan has taken offence to that notion. They’ve questioned Neville’s credentials to pass such a comment when he’s admitted he’s not seen Forest live a great deal this season.
Now, Neville has moved to clear up his comments. He’s basically moved to accept that he’s not seen Forest live much this season; confessing he saw them for the first time in the Premier League against United.

The Reds fan base are very touchy. It’s fair to say in this instance, however, that Neville hasn’t really said much wrong and he did concede before his comments that he’s not seen much of the team.
Forest’s recruitment was necessary. However, it’s fair to say that many of the signings have flattered to deceive and the club will likely readdress the balance in the summer.
Neville is a master of his trade when it comes to punditry. He’s grown on Sky Sports and on this occasion he’s absolutely spot on about Forest; despite what some touchy fans might think.
