Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper has delivered an injury update on Serge Aurier and Cheikhou Kouyate ahead of tomorrow’s game with Brighton.
Aurier hasn’t played since returning injured from international duty in March. It’s not, however, clear what injury he is suffering from.

As for Kouyate, he’s endured a frustrating few months. He worked hard to get himself fit but hobbled off against Aston Villa in his first start since injuring a hamstring at the World Cup.
Both players have Premier League experience in abundance. As a result, the pair would prove useful during the Forest run-in.
The Reds fan base shouldn’t get their hopes up just yet, however. Cooper has confirmed that both players remain out injured but are making good progress.
He told the club’s official website: “Cheikhou and Serge are not far off being back in full training with the group. They’re not quite ready yet as they are in the back end of their recovery.
“Apart from that, the rest of the guys are injured.”
Forest head coach Cooper provides injury update
The injury list at the City Ground is frankly ridiculous.
Whatever happens this season, a full review must take place in the summer given the number of players Forest have been without at various points of this campaign.
Aurier and Kouyate have been good this season when called upon. Aurier in particular has been outstanding and he’s been sorely missed.

The 30-year-old was the first choice at right-back. Neco Williams has been deputising and ultimately, he’s just not quite as good defensively.
Forest must plough on though. The team has six huge games left to play and hopefully, enough points can be collected to remain in the division.
Cooper hasn’t used injuries as an excuse this season. It’s fair to say, however, that he will be desperate to get Aurier and Kouyate back on the pitch quickly.
