Portsmouth star Colby Bishop has explained that he’s a Nottingham Forest fan after scoring to put a dent in Derby County’s play-off aspirations.
The striker has been talking to the YouTube channel PompeyInitMush following Saturday’s game at Pride Park.
Bishop has enjoyed a wonderful season at Fratton Park and is one of the game’s romantic stories having taken a route through non-league.

The striker fetched up 20 goals for the campaign on Saturday. His cushioned header left Joe Wildsmith rooted to the spot to put Pompey 1-0 up.
The visitors couldn’t hold on for a big three points. James Collins equalised in the second half and Derby must now go to Sheffield Wednesday and win to guarantee a play-off place.
MORE FOREST STORIES
After his goal, Bishop appeared to do a bow and arrow celebration in the direction of the Derby supporters.
When quizzed on it, the 26-year-old explained that the celebration was a bit of fun based on the team he supports.
He told PompeyInitMush: “It’s just that I’m a Forest fan. It’s just a bit of banter between friends.”
Bishop is in his first season at Portsmouth having signed for the club from Accrington during the summer transfer window.
He’s found the net 24 times in all competitions, with his goal against Derby his 20th in League One.
Bishop has explained that he’s a Forest fan and his celebration was amusing
The Reds fan base have enjoyed seeing this one in the last few days, with Bishop silencing the Pride Park crowd.
It would be mildly amusing if the Rams remained in League One this season after some of their fan base claimed they’d walk League One.
Bishop is developing into a fine EFL striker. He was released by Notts County after making just four appearances at Meadow Lane.

After spells with Gloucester, Boston and Leamington, he was given an opportunity at a professional level by Accrington.
There, he scored 38 goals in 123 appearances and earned himself a move to Portsmouth.
Bishop might now have the Championship in his sights and surely the player one-day dreams of playing for Forest.
