A report has claimed that Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson won’t play again this season after a setback with his thigh injury.
The on-loan Manchester United man picked up a thigh injury in January and it was initially thought he’d be back before the end of the season.
Now, things have gone from bad to worse. Henderson requires surgery, according to the Independent, ending his season prematurely.

The 26-year-old made 20 appearances for the Reds during the first half of the season. He produced several magic moments; including penalty saves from Harry Kane and Declan Rice.
United think that Henderson will be back for pre-season training. This is a blow for Forest though who might have fancied the stopper giving the team a huge lift.
Henderson kept six clean sheets during his time playing for Forest. As a decent character, he warmed himself to the club’s supporters and he’ll be sorely missed.
All might not be lost for Forest. If the Reds remain in the Premier League, it seems likely that Forest will try and sign Henderson permanently.
Some people may have thought that Henderson was due back. He was spotted on Saturday heading into the dressing room with his teammates, wearing the usual pre-match attire.
Now, he faces another spell on the sidelines, however. An operation is needed and it’s hoped that his thigh issue will then be resolved.
Forest goalkeeper Henderson won’t play again this season
The goalkeeper called insane by Sander Berge is a fine stopper. He was a coup when Forest managed to sign him and it seems likely he will leave United.

With Keylor Navas between the posts, Forest are in safe hands. However, with lots of heat going in his direction lately, perhaps taking him out of the firing line would have been ideal.
Henderson now won’t be an option. He faces a race against time to be fit for pre-season and hopefully, the Reds can stay up and attempt to sign him permanently.
