Gibbs-White has worked with Cooper on three separate occasions now and he’s a huge fan of the head coach.
Last night, he conceded that he’s felt a little bit sorry for Cooper this season given the hand he’s been dealt.
He told Sky Sports: “It’s incredible. I wish had that relationship with every manager. He’s unbelievable, the way he man-manages players is incredible.
“You can get on with him so well, he’s a real down-to-earth good manager. I almost feel sorry for him for the season so far.
“The way he wants to play is not how he wants to play but you have to grind out results so hopefully we can stay up and you can see the way he wants to play next season.”
Gibbs-White feels sorry for Forest man Cooper
The Forest forward has certainly got a point. Last season, the Forest fans saw how Cooper wants to play but this season has been tricky.
The Reds have tried his usual style on a number of occasions this season but it’s not really worked out.
As a result, he’s been forced to find another way of playing that has allowed the Reds to pick up some good results.

Gibbs-White has been instrumental this season and last night he collected his seventh assist of the season.
The Reds will need a few more magic moments from him with just three games of the season remaining.
Given this interview, he will be desperate to do it for Cooper.
