Nottingham Forest are interested in the summer signing of Sporting Lisbon winger Nuno Santos.

The Reds are keen to make the addition and are in the mix alongside Wolves to capture the player.

According to O Jogo, the Reds are in the market for new forwards and will target Santos if they remain in the Prmeier League.

The 28-year-old has a release clause of £52 million, although Sporting are acutely aware that they won’t be able to command that fee.

In fact, their valuation is much lower with just £13 million being mooted as the price it will take to sign him.

Forest are fully focused on staying in the Premier League right now but clearly, they’re also weighing up new signings.

Santos is enjoying a fine season in Portugal. He’s bagged nine goals and claimed eight assists but now he could be on the move.

The player would be a very useful addition to the ranks and at 28 it has to be said that he’d be arriving in his prime.

Santos has been with Sporting for three years since checking in from Rio Ave in 2020.

The forward has been in fine form this season but it would appear that Sporting are preparing to lose him to a top league.

Santos has previously been called immense by the national media and he’s a quality winger on his day.

Forest have struggled when it comes to out-and-out wingers during 2022/23.

Gustavo Scarpa was added during the January transfer window but he’s been out injured for a number of weeks since he signed.

Brennan Johnson is obviously the team’s main threat out wide, with Emmanuel Dennis also playing there on some occasions.

Santos is quick and skilful, with the player typically operating on the lefthand side of the attack.

The player has made 134 appearances for the Portuguese outfit but now he could make a switch to Forest if they stay in the Premier League.
