A report has named three players that Nottingham Forest eventually hope will be worth an absolute fortune.

The Reds have now secured their Premier League status after Saturday’s 1-0 win over Arsenal.

Forest signed Taiwo Awoniyi for £17 million from Union Berlin and he may have already proved to be worth his weight in gold.

He is one of the players that Forest eventually believe will rake in a fortune, with two more players mentioned.

The Athletic also thinks that Danilo and Morgan Gibbs-White are two players added that Forest hope will make them money.

Gibbs-White created another assist on Saturday and he’s hit top form at just the right time this season.

The 23-year-old was signed from Wolves for a club-record transfer fee of £25 million, with the deal eventually rising to £42 million.

Danilo was a bit of a stellar signing during the January transfer window and he’s been magnificent.

At just £16 million, it’s frankly ridiculous that Forest managed to fend off interest from other interested parties.

All three players are quality. They’ve all played their part in Forest defying the odds and for that, they deserve credit.

Now that Forest have secured their Premier League status for another season, it’s set to be another exciting time.

Gibbs-White would have surely departed had the Reds been relegated; whilst Awoniyi and Danilo would have had potential suitors.

Forest will now have significant clout when it comes to keeping their star players.

In Danilo, Gibbs-White and Awoniyi, the Reds do have three quality players who are now probably worth far more than they paid for them.

The challenge this summer is a little bit different to that of last summer.

Forest must prioritise quality over quantity this time around and try to unearth other gems such as Awoniyi, Danilo and Gibbs-White.
