Nottingham Forest face Crystal Palace today and we’ve taken a look at a predicted team that Steve Cooper could utilise. The Reds go to London knowing that they will remain in the Premier League next season.

Cooper has masterminded Forest to safety with an upturn in form at just the right time. The Reds have taken 10 points from their last five Premier League matches and it’s got them over the line.

There will be a party atmosphere in the away end at Selhurst Park today. Fans will be clad in fancy dress and inflatables will be a mandatory requirement for anyone travelling to watch the Reds today.

Ahead of today’s game, we’ve looked at a predicted team and there could be some changes for this final-day clash.

Predicted Nottingham Forest team

The Forest rearguard

There will be one enforced change between the posts, with Keylor Navas picking up a groin injury during the closing stages of last weekend’s win over Arsenal. Wayne Hennessey will keep goal today.

Felipe is also a fitness doubt. As a result, Cooper might switch to his tried and tested 4-3-3 system, with Moussa Niakhate partnering with Joe Worrall at the heart of a back four for the Reds.

At full-back, it’s likely to be a case of normal service resumed. Renan Lodi and Serge Aurier have both been brilliant this season and should get the chance to start the game at Selhurst Park.

The Forest engine room

Again, there should be another change in the middle of the park. Danilo is out injured and perhaps Jack Colback will play in his final game before departing the City Ground on a free transfer.

Ryan Yates and Orel Mangala should both start the game this afternoon. Cheikhou Kouyate came on for a decent cameo against Arsenal and perhaps he will be in contention too.

Leading the Forest line

We really can’t envisage many changes here. Taiwo Awoniyi, Morgan Gibbs-White and Brennan Johnson have been brilliant in recent weeks and all three should start today.

Sam Surridge, Andre Ayew and Emmanuel Dennis will all hope to feature at some point. Those three will be wanted men in the summer and it remains to be seen if they will stay Forest players.
