Nottingham Forest star Danilo has been discussing his first few months at the football club and he’s explained one aspect that he initially found difficult.
Danilo joined Forest in January for £16 million from Brazilian champions Palmeiras. Now, the 22-year-old has been speaking with Brazilian outlet Globo.

It did take the 22-year-old a little while to get settled at the City Ground. He was in and out of the team for his first couple of months but by the end of the campaign, he’d become integral.
Danilo scored three goals for the Reds in three successive games. He fired home against Brighton, Brentford and Southampton to help Forest to two victories.
He’s been discussing how he’s finding things in England. Ultimately, although he’s enjoying it at Forest, he’s explained that one aspect was initially quite tricky.

He told Globo: “The beginning was challenging due to the language, I had difficulties, but later with time and my studies, I was able to adapt well. All the athletes helped me, I was very well received by the coaching staff and when the season ended I was very happy with the affection I received from the club’s fans.”
Forest star Danilo will be a big player now he’s settled
The 22-year-old made 15 appearances for the Reds since arriving in January, starting seven of the last eight matches before missing the final-day draw against Crystal Palace.
Danilo really caught the eye towards the end of the campaign. He was intelligent, energetic and also showcased his ability to pop up with a goal.

Steve Cooper seems to have worked wonders with the player. When he first came into the club, the Reds star did look a little bit raw and erratic.
Towards the end of the campaign, the Reds player thrived. He adapted to his surrounding and it would appear that something just clicked with him.
Forest fans will be excited to see what Danilo can do next season. At this stage, the £16 million that the club has parted with looks like an absolute steal.
