Wolves are now expecting Nottingham Forest to make a bid for Jose Sa this summer. The Reds have been linked with a move to sign the goalkeeper and the Molineux-based outfit are now bracing themselves.
According to TalkSPORT, Forest are now keen to firm up their interest in Wolves star Sa. The Portuguese goalkeeper has three years remaining on his deal but could be available for £6 million.

Sa signed for Wolves from Olympiacos in 2021. There he was signed by Evangelos Marinakis and lightning could be about to strike twice as the Forest owner tries to bring him to the City Ground.
The 30-year-old has been a brilliant player for Wolves. It’s hard to understand why they might be willing to sell him, but as claimed by The Telegraph yesterday, that could be the reality.
It’s been a summer of upheaval at Molineux. Ruben Neves has gone to Saudi Arabia; whilst Nathan Collins has signed for Brentford. Conor Coady, Hayao Kawabe, Joao Moutinho and Adama Traore have also departed.
MORE FOREST STORIES
The Reds are now keen to take advantage of their situation. Sa is in the sights of Forest as they try to bolster their goalkeeping department in time for the new season.
The Portuguese performer isn’t viewed as an alternative to Dean Henderson. Forest are hopeful of signing him too and a deal for the Manchester United man could be close.
Wolves expecting Forest to make bid for Sa
Things look to be heating up on the transfer front for Forest. Sa has come out of the blue a little bit and it’ll be interesting to see how this one plans out.
Wolves won’t be happy to see many more first-team stars leave. However, the reports at the moment seem to imply that they might be willing to cut their ties with Sa.

Having another experienced goalkeeper wouldn’t be a bad thing. Henderson is 26-years-old and having Sa as a backup would give Forest an exceptional pair of stoppers.
Intriguingly, Sa might actually get the first bite at the cherry to impress Steve Cooper. Henderson’s thigh injury could rule him out of the start of the campaign, hence the interest in another custodian.
The stopper has been praised by Bruno Lage in the past. Back in December 2021, he called him ‘very important’ and Forest will hope that Sa can shine if he does sign for the Reds.
