Nottingham Forest striker Sam Surridge is set to leave the football club after posting an emotional message on Instagram.
The 24-year-old will be allowed to depart the City Ground after starting just once in the Premier League last season.
Surridge was used as an emergency option and scored his only Premier League goal against Bournemouth in January.

The player was a key player as the Reds won promotion to the top flight during the 2021/22 campaign by winning the play-offs.
Surridge checked in at Forest from Stoke City in January 2022 and scored eight goals during the second half of that season.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Perhaps his highlight in the Garibaldi came when he scored a scintillating hat trick during a 5-1 win over Swansea City.
Now, it looks as though Surridge is off to the MLS. It was claimed last week that he was close to a move to Nashville SC; whilst Leeds have also been keen.
That move looks like a good one for the striker. He will leave Forest with the utmost respect from supporters and he should get plenty of football in America.
Now, Surridge has posted a heartfelt goodbye on Instagram as he prepared to leave Forest behind.
Surridge post emotional message on Instagram as he prepares for Forest exit
The talisman has proved a good signing for the Reds. He will forever be remembered as an integral player during the 2021/22 campaign.
Surridge will always be welcomed back at Forest and looking at his Instagram post, it’s clear that he’s grateful for the chance he got at the club.
Perhaps the man who has worked with Steve Cooper before is the right player for Forest but at the wrong time.
Although Surridge is proven with Forest in the Championship, the jury is perhaps still out on whether he can consistently do it in the Premier League.
Now, he has the chance to play regular football for Nashville and he should enjoy himself in the MLS.
His message on Instagram is definitely from the heart and Forest fans won’t have a bad word said about Surridge.
