Nottingham Forest captain Joe Worrall has explained which Reds player he hates facing on a daily basis in training. The defender was discussing the most difficult opponents at the club alongside Neco Williams.

The Reds were recently in Spain for a pre-season training camp. Some of the Reds’ stars weren’t on the tour but it still proved a useful visit; with Forest losing to Valencia and beating Levante.

Worrall played in both fixtures and he will keep the captaincy this season. The Forest academy graduate won’t have wanted last season to end, showing his best form in the closing stages of the campaign.

On the tour, Worrall and Williams took some time out to answer some randomly chosen questions. The answers have now been posted in a YouTube video and one of them asked who was the toughest opponent in training.

Worrall’s choice might have been somewhat surprising. He chose Alex Mighten as the trickiest opponent and it will be interesting to see if he can have a part to play at Forest this season.

The captain told the Nottingham Forest YouTube channel: “Alex Mighten for me. He puts it through my legs about three times a day. He could nutmeg a mermaid that lad.”

This does come as a bit of a surprise. Although Mighten has always been a tricky customer, it’s fair to say there are more skilful players in the dressing room these days.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Mighten this season. A failed spell with Sheffield Wednesday last season knocked his confidence somewhat and perhaps another loan is required.

The youngster is at a crossroads a little bit. On one hand, he will still feel as though he can be a Forest star in the future but at 21-years-old he could now fancy heading out to play some regular football.

Forest have a decision to make. After failing to play regularly during his time at Hillsborough, Forest must ensure that he gets a good loan move if that is the route the club goes down for this season.
