Juventus will sell Andrea Cambiaso to Nottingham Forest on one condition this summer. The Reds were first linked with the player last week, with Tottenham also monitoring his situation.

Calcio Mercato has now claimed that Forest are in the mix to sign the Italian performer, with the Old Lady ready to sell. He joined Juventus in a deal worth roughly £8 million last summer from Genoa but was loaned straight out to Bologna.

The 23-year-old made 34 appearances out on loan last season. However, his performances haven’t persuaded Juventus to make him part of their squad during 2023/24 and he’s available for £18 million.

Forest target Cambiaso has played eight times for the Italy under-21s. Given the talent he possesses, it wouldn’t come as a big surprise to see him make the jump up to play for the senior team at some point.

Forest are desperately seeking a left-back before the season starts. Last season, Cambiaso made 20 appearances in that position and also featured seven times as a wing-back on the left.

During pre-season, the Reds have utilised youngster Josh Powell at left-back. Ola Aina made his first outing for the club against PSV on Sunday and he could find himself starting the season there.

Now, Juventus are willing to do business with Forest. However, the condition is that Forest will have to fork out £17 million to complete the signing of Cambiaso; over double what Juve paid for him 12 months ago.

Juventus would sell Cambiaso to Forest

This looks like an interesting link on the face of things. Although he’s something of an unknown quantity, the size of the clubs interested in his services surely makes him a player worth targeting.

Cambiaso has played for Empoli during his career and sporting director Pietro Accardi praised him. He called him an ‘interesting prospect’ and said that he’d ‘grown a lot’ under the influence of manager Paolo Zanetti.

The report now claims that Juventus are willing to sell their prospect this summer. However, Forest will have to meet the valuation that has been placed on the head of Cambiaso but that doesn’t seem like too much of an issue.
