It’s set to be a season of transition for QPR. They were recently beaten 5-0 by League One outfit Oxford and Ainsworth only just managed to avoid relegation from the Championship last season.

Colback was a revelation at Forest and he should star with his new club. He was a firm fan favourite and he made a seriously big impact when the Reds won promotion to the Premier League.

The man who recently left Forest enjoyed some really good times at the City Ground. He made 134 appearances in total after originally signing for the club on loan in January 2018.

During the 2021/22 campaign, Colback found a home at left-back. He made 46 appearances and scored four goals, including a last-minute equaliser against QPR live on Sky Sports.

The player has the potential to be captain material for QPR. His experience should seriously help them stay in the Championship ahead of what looks like a tough season for the West Londoners.

Colback can play in a number of positions. That will help Ainsworth when it comes to choosing his team this season and the hope will be that the 33-year-old can get up to speed quickly.

Forest fans will definitely be monitoring this one with intrigue. Colback deserves the utmost respect from the City Ground faithful and he will forever be remembered as an integral part of the team that reached the Premier League.
