Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has just delivered an update on Nottingham Forest and their pursuit of Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares.
The Reds were linked with the Gunners performer this morning. Now, the Sky Sports transfer guru has posted some more details on his official Twitter account.

Tavares is wanted by the Reds but not on a permanent deal just yet. The Reds would like to take him on a season-long loan deal with a buy option included in the deal.
Forest have been on the lookout for a new left-back since the club failed to tempt Renan Lodi into signing permanent terms. They have signed Ola Aina and he started at left-back on the opening day of the campaign.
Now, Forest are increasing their attempts to sign Tavares on loan with the option to buy him in 12 months. Arsenal are keen to offload him and value him at around £12-15 million.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Tavares hasn’t really made the grade at Arsenal. He was famously substituted after 20 minutes against Forest when the Reds beat the Gunners in the FA Cup during the 2021/22 campaign.
The Portuguese performer has made just 28 appearances for the Gunners during his time at the club. Last season, he spent the campaign on loan at Marseille and scored six goals in 39 outings.
Sky Sports deliver update on Forest pursuit of Tavares
This would be an intriguing deal for the club to complete. It would be very unfair for supporters to judge him on that one disastrous performance at the City Ground a couple of years ago.
Tavares was very good for Marseille during the 2022/23 campaign. He was a marauding left-sided wing-back and helped the club finish the place for Champions League qualifying.

Now, he’s set to be on the move from Arsenal. His time with Mikel Arteta’s team looks to be up, with Oleksandr Zinchenko considered the regular left-back.
Forest boss Steve Cooper is keen to improve the athleticism of the Forest squad. Adding Tavares to his squad would definitely do that and hopefully, Forest can get this one over the line.
