Matt Turner was an extremely popular member of the dressing room prior to Nottingham Forest signing him earlier this month.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners squad were big fans of Turner during the 12 months that he was in place at the football club.

Turner made a £7 million switch to Forest last week. It was a whirlwind time for him as he made his debut just days later against Arsenal.
The 29-year-old did well on his debut at the Emirates Stadium. He was powerless to prevent Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka goals; whilst he made a brilliant save from Declan Rice.
It’s today emerged that Forest are knocking their interest in Dean Henderson on the head. The long-running interest hasn’t come to anything and now Turner will be the number one.
MORE FOREST STORIES
The Athletic claims that the Arsenal squad likes Turner a lot. They’ve claimed that the Forest newbie was friendly, well-liked and professional around the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have moved on from Turner. They moved quickly to sign David Raya and alongside Aaron Ramsdale they have two goalkeepers who are used to being number one.
Arsenal players liked Forest star Turner and that bodes well
Steve Cooper is big on signing top players, but also top characters. As a result, it’s perhaps easy to see why Turner was pursued as a top goalkeeping target.
It looks as though he will prove a big player for Forest. After playing just seven times for Arsenal in 12 months, he will be keen to get regular football at the City Ground.

Turner is currently the USA number one. He will want to keep hold of that mantle and at the recent Gold Cup, he was the captain with Tyler Adams out injured.
The player looks like a quality addition to the Forest ranks. Hopefully, Turner can start to produce the goods and help the club enjoy a solid campaign in the Premier League.
