Nottingham Forest are keen on signing Chelsea wonderkid Andrey Santos before the transfer window closes. The Reds are desperate to bolster their midfield ranks before the transfer window closes and have now turned towards the Stamford Bridge player.
According to the Daily Mail, the youngster is now on the radar of Forest. The 19-year-old signed for the Blues from Vasco da Gama in January but immediately went back on loan to the Brazilian outfit.

Santos was on the bench for Chelsea as they drew 1-1 with Liverpool on the opening day of the season. He was omitted from the 20-man squad as Mauricio Pochettino’s men lost 3-1 to West Ham yesterday.
Chelsea could be willing to let Santos leave. He will only go on loan though and Forest are keen to snap him up for the 2023/24 campaign.
During his time in Brazil, Forest target Santos caught the eye with some mature performances. He made 49 appearances for the club and scored nine goals from the heart of midfield.

Forest have been trying to strengthen their midfield ranks for some time. Ibrahim Sangare, Florentino Luis and Nicolas Dominguez have all been linked.
Santos played his part during Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the USA. He didn’t disappoint and now Forest are considering making their move to try and sign him.
Forest keen on signing Santos from Chelsea
This could be an interesting addition. Although he’s rated as a wonderkid, there is a sense that Santos could bring something to the Forest ranks.
Signing players appears to have intensified in recent days. Just three signings arrived at Forest before the season and some fans have been sceptical over the recruitment.
After two pretty positive performances, however, the Reds are now stepping up their efforts. Santos is the latest in a long line of players to be linked with a move to Forest.

Rumour rating: 5/10 – We’re going middle of the road with this one purely because we’re not sure about the level of realism with the deal.
Although he’s a Chelsea player, Santos has never played in the Premier League and that in itself is a risk for a younger player.
Signing a loan player to fill the defensive midfield void would be somewhat underwhelming after being linked with stellar signings and hopefully, the Reds can still sign one of those.
