Nottingham Forest are now in talks to bring Hamilton winger Cormac Daly to the City Ground before the transfer window closes. The Reds are set to pounce for the player who has been extremely sought-after of late.

According to the Daily Record, the player is now set for a move to Forest in the coming days. The Reds and Hamilton are currently locked in talks for the player who has spent some time on trial with the Premier League club.

Daly has already been capped by the Scotland under-17 ranks and looks set for a bright future. If he does move to Forest, it looks likely to be on a permanent deal.

Hamilton can expect a small fee if Forest can complete a deal to sign Daly this summer. He was first signed by the Scottish outfit in 2017 and they hope to have a sell-on clause in the deal with the Reds.

Forest have a brilliant academy. Both teams play in the Premier League of their respective age groups and it remains to be seen whether Daly will join the under-18s or the under-21s.

The Reds have a Category One academy. As a result, that makes them an attractive proposition for new signings. Daly now looks set to be the latest.

The talented player can operate on either flank. He’s made two appearances for the Scotland under-17 ranks and it seems as though the player will be capable of kicking on.

Under the influence of Warren Joyce and Tom Mallinson who work with the academy, he will get the chance to really kick on.

It’s perhaps interesting that this deal has come to fruition. Ross Wilson and Craig Mulholland have joined from Rangers. With that in mind, perhaps they’ve orchestrated this deal.

A deal for Forest to sign Daly now looks to be close. Supporters will now watch with intrigue to see how he gets on when he joins the academy.
