Hull City have agreed a fee in the region of £2 million with Aston Villa for striker Keinan Davis.

The former Nottingham Forest loanee scored five times in 15 games on loan at the club during the Reds’ promotion season back in 2021/22.

Steve Cooper’s side tried to sign the 25-year-old permanently last summer, but Villa were demanding £15 million for the striker.

Instead, the Reds signed Taiwo Awoniyi for £17 million with Davis joining Watford in the Championship on a season-long loan.

The former England U20 international scored seven times in 34 appearances for the Hornets, before returning to Villa Park.

A great opportunity for Keinan Davis

A permanent move away from Aston Villa presents Davis with the perfect opportunity to kick on in his career.

The striker has spent the last couple of years without a settled place to call home, with Hull providing that opportunity for the talented striker.

Davis is a very good Championship-level striker, with his raw pace, power and strength. He loves to bully defenders, with his hold-up play up there with one of the best in the division.

He became a fan favourite during his short stint at the City Ground.

His pace, power and desire to help the club return to the Premier League were evident every time he played for the Reds.

Hull City are getting a great striker, who will for sure add a different dimension to their forward line, whilst adding some key goals in the Tigers’ push for the playoffs this season.
