Nottingham Forest are still in the market to sign Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer. Now, it’s emerged that the player has never actually had a conversation with Mauricio Pochettino since he took charge at the club.
According to the Evening Standard, the Reds target will be on his way before the summer transfer window closes next week. Forest are thought to be the leaders in the pack in the race to sign him, with Fulham and Everton not quite as interested now.

The Reds could find themselves in the market for another winger this summer. Brennan Johnson continues to be linked with a move away from the club and Forest will want to get a contingency plan in place.
Signing Hudson-Odoi wouldn’t be without risk. He’s struggled with injuries in recent years and managed just 21 appearances for Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen last season.
Still, the player is a talented individual. He’s worked with Steve Cooper before for the England Under-17 team and having a manager that believes in him might help him get back to his best.

Forest target Hudson-Odoi has never spoke with Chelsea boss
It seems likely that the player will leave the club this summer. At 22-years-old the player seems to have been around for ages and he still has bags of potential.

Forest would have to be quite weary of this deal. The player’s injury record is less than impressive and perhaps he’d have a bit to prove on that side of things.
Still, the player could be a risk worth taking. He’s thought to be available for as little as £8 million and it’s claimed that he’s also prepared to take a drop in salary to leave Stamford Bridge.
