After the news that Omar Richards would be joining Olympiacos on loan, it leaves Harry Toffolo as the only out-and-out left-back in the Nottingham Forest squad.
With Toffolo suffering from injury, coupled with a potential ban after breaching FA betting rules, Ola Aina and Neco Williams have covered at left wing-back so far this season.
However, the club would be wise to target a natural left-back before the window closes on September 1st.
A potential option they should be considering is Real Betis’ Juan Miranda.
The ‘unbelievable‘ defender joined the club on a free from Barcelona back in 2021 and has made 31 appearances for Betis in all competitions.

Who is Juan Miranda?
Juan Miranda is a 23-year-old wing-back who is known for his energetic play style down the left-hand side.
The wing-back is a product of the Barcelona academy and has spent time on loan at German side Schalke before permanently joining Real Betis.
His performances in Spain have seen him become a regular in the Spain U21 setup, featuring in the U21 Euros over the summer where his country were defeated by England in the final.

According to Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old has a market value of €9 million, with Miranda being subject of interest from Portuguese side Porto already this summer.
Miranda ranks highly in his stats from last season, averaging 3.4 clearances per game with 1.2 aerials won per 90.
The wing-back loves to get forward as reflected in his 5.6 passes received in the final third and 1.2 shots per game, a staggering set of stats for a defender.
Nottingham Forest remain light in left-back areas. Miranda’s box-to-box style would see him be the perfect fit in Steve Cooper’s 5-2-2-1 formation.
