Nottingham Forest finally confirmed the signing of Argentina international Gonzalo Montiel yesterday.
The 26-year-old right-back has joined the Reds on a season-long loan, with an option to make the deal permanent.
Montiel has made 235 career appearances at clubs such as River Plate and Sevilla, with Copa America, Europa League and World Cup titles under his belt.
However, despite all of his career achievements, after signing he admitted it’s his “dream” to play in the Premier League.

What did Gonzalo Montiel say about joining Nottingham Forest?
Speaking to the club after his arrival, the defender admitted he’s keen on the challenge of playing in the best league in the world.

“I’m really happy to have joined this club.
“I’ve been watching the Premier League since I was child, I used to watch every game. As a player you want to play in the best league, and the Premier League is just that.”

Montiel will wear the number 29 shirt during his time at the City Ground, the same number he wore during his time at River Plate.
The defender joins Serge Aurier and Neco Williams as wing-back options on Trentside and it will be fascinating to see what happens.
The 26-year-old could be handed his debut for the club, when Steve Cooper’s side travel to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
