Nottingham Forest are close to the signing of Andrey Santos from Chelsea, with a deal set to be finalised. Forest will take the youngster on a season-long loan from Stamford Bridge with no option of a permanent deal.
According to The Times, Santos is due at Forest tomorrow for a medical examination. After that is completed, the talented youngster will sign for the Reds until the end of the season.

Santos is a 19-year-old midfielder who signed for the Blues from Vasco da Gama back in January of this year. It was agreed by Chelsea that he could remain in Brazil for the duration of their domestic campaign.
The talented teenager made 49 appearances for the Brazilian outfit during his time at the club. He also scored nine goals and played for Chelsea during their pre-season tour of the United States.
Now, it seems as though Santos has fallen victim to a hectic recruitment drive in the middle of the park by Chelsea. In recent weeks they’ve signed both Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo for their midfield ranks.

Forest have fought off fierce competition from other interested parties for the player’s signature. Perhaps the Blues feel that his development would be best served on loan with another Premier League club ahead of the future.
Brazilian player from the past Juninho Pernambucano has praised the Chelsea player. He’s claimed he’s going to be much better than he was and also called him a ‘complete player’ when quizzed on the teenager.
Forest set to sign Andrey Santos from Chelsea
This is a big addition to the Forest ranks. Chelsea were always going to loan out the player this season amid a wealth of midfielders within Mauricio Pochettino’s ranks.
It was anticipated that Santos might head to one of the Blues’ affiliate clubs though. With time on his side, it was anticipated that an easier league would be on the horizon but now he will sample Premier League football.

Santos could prove to be a very big player over the coming season. The Reds will be delighted to get this one over the line and it could be completed as early as today once the medical is complete.
Finally, the Forest squad looks to be taking shape.
