Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is now keen to sign for Nottingham Forest this summer and there are no problems with personal terms. The Reds have been eyeing the Blues player for some time and look to be close to their man.

According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, the Reds are now advancing at pace for the Chelsea player. Hudson-Odoi would represent a decent piece of business for the Reds and prepare the club for the likelihood of losing Brennan Johnson.

Forest now look set to sign Hudson-Odoi this summer. Sheth believes that the player wants the move and that’s certainly a good sign ahead of the transfer deadline.

This one is an intriguing one for the Reds to get over the line. He’s lost his way at Chelsea over the last couple of years; however, when he first burst onto the scene he was a talent linked with Bayern Munich who prepared a huge bid at one point.

In total, Hudson-Odoi has made 126 appearances for the Blues. Across that period in the team, he’s scored 16 goals and claimed 22 assists, with Frank Lampard calling him ‘incredible’ back in July 2019 when he was in charge of the club.

Forest might just have one man who has convinced Hudson-Odoi to join the club. Steve Cooper was in charge of the England Under-17s when they won the World Cup in 2017 with the Chelsea man integral to the fortunes.

Clearly, the forward has lost his way a little bit of late. He will hope to get back to what he’s good at in the coming years and Forest boss Cooper could be just what Hudson-Odoi needs.

It’s great in this day and age when a player pushes for a move to a certain club. All that the Forest fan base asks is that every player gives their all when called upon. Hudson-Odoi will undoubtedly do that.

Hopefully, Forest can get this one over the line. If they do, Cooper will do his very best to get Hudson-Odoi back to his best as the season progresses.

The Reds will definitely welcome more options to their attack. With Sam Surridge departed and Emmanuel Dennis set to be sold, Hudson-Odoi will provide Forest with an injection of quality.
