Nottingham Forest defender Loic Mbe Soh is set to embark on another loan spell away from the City Ground, this time with Almere City.
The Eredivisie outfit were only founded in 2001 and The Athletic have claimed that his departure is now thought to be imminent.

Mbe Soh has been quite unfortunate with injuries since he joined Forest. During the second half of last season, he went on loan to Guingamp and did pretty well.
The challenge for the youngster at this stage of his career is to play regular football. Almere will offer him the chance to do just that and it can only benefit him.
Mbe Soh actually started the first match of the 2021/22 campaign. He picked up an injury prior to half-time though and that set him back.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Chris Hughton raved about the defender when he was in charge at the club. He called him ‘fabulous’ and ‘a terrific young player’ during his tenure at the City Ground.
Mbe Soh was never going to get a shot in the Premier League at Forest. He was spotted in the dressing room when the team won promotion but it was soon obvious that he’d be surplus.
Forest defender Mbe Soh set for Almere City loan
Bizarrely, the club he’s going to sign for were formed in the same year that Forest youngster Mbe Soh was born.

Once again the player will be keen to enhance his reputation as a burgeoning talent. In fairness, it’s probably a bit of a shame that he couldn’t get a loan in England under his belt.
Mbe Soh will be out of contract next summer. As a result, this could be the end for the player at the City Ground and impressing in Holland could see him move there permanently next summer.
