Nottingham Forest defender Jonathan Panzo is set to join Championship side Cardiff City on loan.
According to Fraser Fletcher, the 22-year-old has been subject to interest from multiple second-tier sides, with the Bluebirds winning the race for the centre-back.
Panzo spent last season on loan at Coventry City, where he made 29 appearances in all competitions as Mark Robins’ side missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
Upon the completion of the loan deal, the defender will link up with fellow Forest loanee Josh Bowler, who is also spending the season on loan at the Cardiff City Stadium.

A good move for Jonathan Panzo
Panzo is a very agile, ball-playing central defender and would add versatility to the defence, as he’s capable of playing at left-back.
MORE FOREST STORIES
His time at the City Ground hasn’t worked out. He’s only made one first-team appearance at the club, coming during the 2021/22 campaign, against Hull City in a heavily rotated squad on the final day.

However, his loan spell at Coventry last season is proof he is a solid player in the Championship and aged just 22 is only going to develop further, which could see the Reds make a profit on the £1.5 million they splashed on the defender just over 18 months ago.
Rangers are said to have a long-standing interest in the central defender, but it seems as though Nottingham Forest’s ‘elegant‘ defender is set to move to Wales for this season at the very least.
